The Department of Justice of the state of Pennsylvania will be asked to decide on the question as to whether displaced persons are eligible for relief assistance, it was reported here. Robert Wray, deputy public assistance secretary, said that the relief problem is not immediate, but explained that the state government wants a course of action for the future.

A total of 10,830 displaced persons–Jews, Catholics and Protestants–have been resettled in Pennsylvania since the start of the DP immigration program in January, 1948. Close to 3,700 refugee immigrants have found new homes in the Philadelphia area, it was revealed.
