An anti-Semitic tirade, the object of which was ostensibly Paul Loebe, Socialist leader who is a non-Jew, led today to the indefinite suspension of the Reichstag Permanent Committee for Safeguarding Parliament’s Rights.
The anti-Semitic attack was delivered by Hans Frank, Chancellor Adolph Hitler’s legal adviser.
The Nazis refused to meet under the chairmanship of Herr Loebe, who is a vice-president of the Reichstag. Loebe was attacked as a “Jew swine,” and other Socialist deputies were called “dirty Jews,” because the Socialist Party has many Jewish members.
The Committee suspended for an indefinite period because of the fear of violence between Nazis and other members.
