Permission to export water from the Tiberias hot springs was granted by the Palestine Government, affirming a contract between the Tiberias municipality and a group of American Jews.
The group is headed by Rabbi Jacob Redelheim of New York who concluded the agreement on his last visit to Palestine.
It was asserted on the basis of medical analyses that the waters of the hot springs in Tiberias are helpful to persons suffering from stomach and kidney diseases and from gallstones.
The water will be bottled at the springs.
