Phil W. Lown of Auburn, Me., was last night elected president of the National Friends of Hillel, an organization supporting the activities of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations among Jewish students at 203 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Mr. Lown is a member of the national cabinet of the United Jewish Appeal and of the board of the American Financial and Development Corporation for Israel which conducts the Israel Bond drive.
