Colonel Julius Klein, special assistant to Secretary of War Robert P. Patterson has been awarded the Philippine Distinguished Service Star, highest decoration of the Philippine Government, it was announced here. Colonel Klein, a resident of Chicago, served in the Pacific theatre for three years before being assigned to the War Department position.
