A budget of $2,500,000 for the next two-year period, exceeding the last biennial budget by a half million dollars, was adopted here this weekend by the national convention of the Pioneer Women, Labor Zionist organization.
At the same time, the Pioneer Women voted to continue supporting heavily the Israel bond campaign. A special citation was awarded to the group by the State of Israel Bond Organization for having sold $10, 000, 000 worth of bonds to date. The $2, 500, 000 budget will be used for the women’s program of vocational training for 20, 000 women in Israel as well as 200 kindergartens, 75 day nurseries, and five resident homes.
