Pittsburgh Appeal Due to Wind Up Monday with $100,000 Goal

With only $2,000 more to raise the United Jewish Appeal campaign in this city is headed to pass its goal at the final rally meeting Monday evening, it was announced yesterday by Leo Lehman, general chairman, after a meeting of eighty team captains and group heads. Hyman Rogal, chairman of the “final follow-up” committee, presided. Reports showed that $98,000 had already been raised.

Announcement was made that McKeesport, which is within the tri-state zone, of which Morris Neaman is chairman, had pledged $1,500. The chairman for McKeesport is Dr. Noah Sunstein.

Altoona, with Isaac Slutzker, campaign head, has raised $2,500 toward its goal. Oil City, under Rabbi E. Greenfield, is going steadily ahead, with $1,000 already pledged. Reports were received of successful campaigns in Aliquippa, Bradford, Homestead and Franklin.
