Mayor David Lawrence of Pittsburgh, completing a tour of Israel this week-end, hailed the “extraordinary development” of Israel in the short space of six years since its establishment. Before emplaning for his return to the United States, Mayor Lawrence expressed the opinion that it was the deep devotion and love of country of the Israeli people which is undoubtedly responsible for these achievements.
