Workers in the United Jewish Appeal voted at the last report meeting to extend the campaign to next Monday. So far $98,000 has been raised toward the $100,000 quota.
The workers gave Leo Lehmann, general chairman of the drive, a leather belt and silver watch buckle in appreciation of his leadership. Hyman Regal, chairman of the final follow-up committee, presided. Mrs. Charles L. Reizenstein, Sidney Stark, Harry Dobrin, Ben Raphael, John H. Cohen, Leon Falk Jr. and Charles J. Rosenbloom spoke.
The drive will close with a final report meeting Monday night. Those working on Regal’s committee include:
