A memorial in honor of Chaim Nachman Bialik was held at the Y. M. and W. H. A. Auditorium here July 31.
Abraham Goldberg, Hebrew writer, delivered an address in Yiddish on the significance of Bialik as the embodiment of the Hebrew spirit and as the great prophet of the Jewish renaissance.
The meeting was held under the joint auspices of the Y. M. and W. H. A., B’nai B’rith, American Jewish Congress, Zionist District, Hadassah, Junior Hadassah, Poale Zion, Mizrachi and other leading organizations of the city.
