A plan to send Israeli doctors and physiotherapists to the United States to learn the latest rehabilitation techniques and to bring a “task force” of American doctors to Israel to demonstrate American medical methods to Israeli doctors and medical technicians was announced here today.
The plan has the approval of Premier David Ben Gurion, Dr. Howard Rusk, Professor of Physical Medicine at New York University Medical School, told the newsmen. Dr. Rusk, who is also medical affairs expert for the New York Times, reported on his conference with the Premier who “showed the greatest interest and promised the necessary help.”
