An important meeting arranged by the Jewish National Fund and attended by Zionist leaders from the United States now in Israel took place in Jerusalem for the purpose of discussing the celebrations scheduled to be held in the U.S. in October in honor of the J.N.F.’s 50th anniversary, it was reported here today by Mendel Fisher, executive director of the Jewish National Fund of America.
Mr. Fisher expressed great satisfaction with the decision taken by the recently-concluded session of the Zionist Actions Committee calling for the continuation of the J.N.F.’s activities within the framework of the present status quo. The J.N.F.’s receipts in the U.S. last year exceeded $30,000,000, while subsidiary collections netted $3,000,000, he said.
