Plans for the convention of District No. 4, Independent Order B’nai B’rith, have been completed by the convention committee consisting of representatives of Oakland Lodge No. 252 and Oakland Auxiliary No. 72, headed by Monroe Friedman and Mrs. Ella Wise.
Delegates from eight western states and British Columbia will meet in the sixty-sixth annual convention at the Hotel Oakland from Friday, June 21st until Tuesday, June 25th.
A special B’nai B’rith service at Temple Sinai, will be held. Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin, President of District Grand Lodge No. 4, who will come from Los Angeles, will deliver the sermon.
On Saturday evening, June 22, there will be a dinner at the Hotel Leamington, Oakland. The convention will open its deliberations on Sunday morning, June 23, the first order of business being the initiation of past presidents attending the session for the first time.
