James G. McDonald, associate editor of the New York Times and former League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, said today that the situation of the Jews in Rumania might become worse than it ever was in Germany.
Addressing the 44th annual meeting of the New York section of the National Council of Jewish Women at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria, Mr. McDonald said it was possible that organizations in this country might have to enlarge their aid to Jews in European countries.
