A Polish-Israeli trade conference was opened here today with a view to draft a new commercial agreement between the two countries. Last year, Israeli-Polish trade totalled $5,000,000.
Israeli experts in foreign trade contend that sum could be increased substantially, if it were not for the fact that Poland has limited the type of exports it is willing to send to Israel. An effort will be made at the conference to broaden the choice of goods for Israeli imports from Poland, thus possibly raising the total amount of trade.
