Importation of oranges from Palestine to Poland has doubled during the last few months, since Poland reduced the duty on Palestineian oranges, it was revealed here today.
Fifteen hundred additional tons of oranges were imported since the reduction was proclaimed today’s announcement states. Their sale is growing daily in view of the low prices now charged for them, which have converted the fruit from a luxury to a normal commodity. With the reduced duty, it is now possible to sell the oranges at about three cents apiece.
