A former officer of the Gestapo who escaped from a French prison last August has been recaptured in the home of the director of “Rivarol,” a French weekly notorious for its anti-Semitie articles.
The former Gestapo man, Jacques Minify, condemned to death in 1945 and later saved from the guillotine and given 20 years at hard labor, was found in the home of J. Malliavin, the editor. M. Malliavin has been charged with harboring a criminal.
