Police in Jerusalem said they would bar a gay protest at a city park. But organizers of Thursday evening’s event near Liberty Bell Park said they would go ahead with the demonstration, which was a protest against an earlier police decision to ban an international gay march because of Israel’s war with Hezbollah.
