Friday was a day of attack for the Jews of Opatow and not even orthodox Jews leaving synagogue services were immune from the onslaughts of a group of National Democratic agitators who fell upon the Jews with sticks.

Many Jewish youths were injured and a number of worshippers returning from Sabbath services.

Among the injured is Aron Simcha Rosner and a youth, Leib Sternlicht.

Following representations to the chief of police, police reserves were sent out who restored order.
