Tel Aviv police cracked down on gambling, detaining 127 gamblers at two illegal casinos.
About $24,000 was confiscated, as well as roulette tables and other gambling equipment.
Most of those arrested were later released.
One casino manager complained that casinos are illegal in Israel and thought that it would be logical to make them legal. That way, he said, “Israelis won’t go to Turkey to spend their money, but they will spend it here.”
