A POLICEMAN, MOHAMMED MAHMOUD, WAS KILLED YESTERDAY, WHEN A POLICE PATROL WAS FIRED ON NEAR KALKILLIA BY THE NOTORIOUS ARAB GANGSTER, ABDUL LATIF. THE POLICE REPLIED, KILLING LATIF.

LATIF WAS WANTED FOR THE MURDER OF ABRAHAM GOLUTHMAN, A JEW, IN MARCH, 1936. THE BRIGAND WAS A MEMBER OF THE GENERAL STAFF OF FAWZI BEY EL KAUKAJI, SYRIAN TERRORIST LEADER WHO WAS ACTIVE IN PALESTINE DURING LAST YEAR’S DISORDERS.
