Britain’s new policy will not mean the end of Zionism in Palestine, Mrs. Samuel W. Halprin, former president of Hadassah, declared today, arriving on the S.S. Exochorda for an indefinite stay in this country after spending five years in the Holy Land as administrator for Hadassah’s network of public health institutions. “The Jews have learned tenacity and endurance throughout centuries of persecution and discrimination,” Mrs. Halprin said. “If they have clung to these qualities in times of relative peace, they certainly will not become defeatists now when the lives of tens and thousands of their refugee brethren in Europe are at stake.”
