The Ministry of Justice announced today that it has applied to the American military authorities in Germany for extradition of Hans Bubow, who is charged with directing the execution and deportation of 400,000 Jews during the more than four years that he was in command of the Lodz ghetto. Bubow was captured in Stuttgart several months ago, when he was recognized by two displaced Jews from Lodz.
