Polish representatives at the International Labor Office meeting stressed the demographic problems of Poland and the great importance to its Government of emigration to countries with territory for colonization.
Titus Komarnicki said that Poland was an overpopulated country with a strong natural increase in population. The Government, he declared, considers emigration of surplus rural population more important than that of industrial workers.
The emigration problem is closely connected with financial questions, he said, and international organizations must find the means for emigration.
Cannas Flores, of Chile, stated that owing to the decrease of unemployment in Chile his Government was ready to cooperate with the I.L.O. in studying colonization in Chile.
