The coincidence of the Levant Fair, which will be opened in Palestine next month, the Jewish Olympiad, which will be held at the same time, and the Passover Festival, when many Jews go on pilgrimage to Palestine, is having the result of sending unusually large numbers of Polish Jews to Palestine this year.

A special train left to-day with 400 members of the Polish Palestine Chamber of Commerce, including a delegation of 45 middle-class Jews, who are going out on the initiative of the Polish section of the Jewish Agency, to enquire into the possibilities for middle-class settlement in Palestine.

60 labour tourists also left here to-day for Palestine. The next party, which will leave on March 19th., will consist of 220 members of the Polish-Palestine Chamber of Commerce, including a delegation of industrialists and artisans, and soon after a third party of 500 members of the Jewish Sports Club Maccabee will leave, and further parties are in process of formation.
