Representatives of 356 towns in which Jews reside, taking part in an all-day conference on Jewish affairs, passed a resolution appealing to the Jews of the world to make every effort to facilitate the immigration of German Jews into other countries. A World Jewish Congress, to be held at the same time as the next session of the League of Nations, was urged.
The Conference of Polish Jews also cabled the Speaker of the British Parliament, thanking the House of Commons for its expressions of sympathy toward the German Jews. Expressions of gratitude were also made to the French people for their attitude on Nazi anti-Semitism, and the Polish Consulate in Germany was lauded for its protection of Polish-Jewish citizens.
A united committee of Polish Jews, comprised of two members of the organized Jewish Deputies of the Sejm, two members of the Agudath Israel, one member of the Mizrachi, one of the press, and one of the Economic Organization, was in charge of the conference.
