Polish Minister Discusses Plight of Polish Jewry with American Jewish Delegation

Problems concerning the position of the Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland were discussed here by the Polish Foreign Minister, Count Edward Raczynski, who is now on a visit to this country and a delegation of the World Jewish Congress headed by Dr. Nahum Goldmann and Dr. Arieh Tartakower, it was announced today by the World Jewish Congress.

As a result of this discussion, the hope was expressed that effective means could be devised of ameliorating the tragic situation of the Jews in Poland resulting from the deliberate policy of mass starvation adopted by the Nazi authorities there. The Polish Foreign Minister also expressed the readiness of his government to accept the cooperation of the Institute of Jewish Affairs in assembling material to implement the decisions of the recent Nine-Power Conference held in London by the Governments-in-exile of the countries occupied by Axis forces.
