Polish Officer Murders Jew in Palestinian Settlement; Second Within Few Days

The Hebrew press today published a demand that all troops of Gen. Wladislaw Anders’ Polish Army be withdrawn from Jewish settlements throughout Palestine, following the murder of a second Jew within several days by Polish soldiers.

The latest shooting, of Moshe Monobla, 21-year-old Jewish soldier awaiting discharge from the British Army, occurred last night in the Jewish settlement of Rehovoth. Monobla was killed by a Polish officer named Piaskowski as he was about to enter a local movie house. The officer has been arrested. Earlier, a Jewish woman was shot and killed by a Polish soldier.
