While pro-government newspapers today flatly declared that the anti-Jewish excesses of the Naras (members of the National Radical party) had been throttled, thanks to energetic measures taken by authorities, a conflicting view was maintained by the Polska Zbrojna, recognized as the organ of the Ministry of War.
The Polska Zbrojna declared today that there is no security in the streets of Warsaw and that the situation recalls “Mexican methods,” with revolver shots heard in the streets.
“Every citizen of the Polish capital has the right to demand to walk the streets unendangered,” the paper asserted.
The pro-government newspaper, Kurjer Poranny, today carried an interview with the attorney Howorka, a prominent Nara leader, in which the National Radical expatiated at length on the need of an “Aryan clause” for Poland.
