Premier Marjan Koscialkowski today received Deputy Emil Sommerstein in a three-hour audience during which they are reported to have discussed anti-Jewish events since November, particularly the order of the rector of the Lwow Polytechnic Institute segregating Jewish students into back seats.
Earlier, newspapers reported that after an interview with the Premier, the rector, who came here at the behest of Minister of Education Swietoslawski, had declared himself ready to rescind the segregation order.
Anti-Semitic nationalistic groups today launched a campaign aimed at terrorizing Jewish owners of shops in the center of Warsaw into removing Christmas decorations.
