Polish Premier Josef Cyrancewicz was criticized in a recent debate in the Polish Parliament for ignoring the problem of anti-Semitism in his address on the state of the nation which opened the current session of Parliament, Radio Warsaw reported today.
In a broadcast monitored here, the Polish radio said that Boleslaw Drobner, a deputy, expressed anxiety about manifestations of anti-Semitism. He referred to an account in the Communist newspaper Tribuna Ludu of a Communist Party meeting at a large factory where the problem of anti-Semitism was discussed.
“It is a pity,” the radio reported Drobner as saying, that while a meeting in a factory discusses the need to combat vestiges of anti-Semitism, “the Comrade Premier in his speeches has not pointed out that this thing exists in the country.”
