Two Jews, Prof. A. Schorr, Rabbi and historian, and Jacob Trockenheim, president of the Warsaw Jewish Community Council, were today appointed by President Moscicki to the Polish Senate.
The two Jews were named among the 32 senators nominated by the President according to the new constitutional laws on election in Poland.
According to a declaration made last week, this small number of Jewish senators is due to the abstinence of Jews from participation in the recent Sejm elections.
