A new translation Into Polish of Sholem Aleichem’s famous “Tevya the Dairyman” will be published by a government publishing house in Poland, according to reports from Warsaw. The translator is Anna Dresner, who also rendered works by I. L. Peretz into Polish. The new edition will be issued next year as part of the Polish celebration of the hundredth anniversary of Sholem Aleichem.
