The importers of American, machine-made matzoths have been unable to obtain the permission of the Warsaw Rabbinate to sell these matzoths among the orthodox element. The Rabbis declare that matzhoths manufactured by machine are not in accordance with the strict letter of the Jewish law. A special Committee of the Rabbinate has, however, been appointed to inquire into the possibility of permitting the sale of these matzoths in Poland.
