Anti-Semitic rowdies attacked Rabbi Jehuda Freiberg of Wowoliec, a town near Lublin, while the latter was marching at the head of a procession carrying new Torah scrolls to the synagogue. As a result of the attack the rabbi was seriously wounded in the head, while two other Jews, Chaim Hoffman and Abraham Malkusman, were injured. During the panic which followed the attack several children who were participating in the procession were also injured.
