Jewish residents of Poland, mainly concentrated in the towns, will be the recipients of government aid, according to a resolution adopted at the closing session of the Sejm. The resolution, introduced by the Club of Jewish Deputies, provides that the government help the urban population.

The Jewish deputies’ resolution followed the adoption by the Sejm of a resolution to grant government relief for the village population suffering from hunger and cold due to the unusual frosts this year. Credit will be granted the village population and the collection of taxes relaxed.

The Sejm concluded its session without further action on the proposal to abolish the anti-Jewish legal disabilities based on the old Czaristic laws.
