The deans of all Yeshivas in Poland and nearly all of their students are now safe in Wilno, according to information made public here today by Rabbi Eliezer Silver. First direct word of their safety was received in a cable to Rabbi Silver from Rabbi Joseph Kahneman, of Ponievez, Lithuania. The cable also reported the presence in Wilno of Rabbi Soloaveitchik of Brest-Litovsk, the noted Talmudist, and many other rabbis.
