A huge demonstration in the streets of Warsaw, celebrating the Seventh Anniversary of the Baliour Declaration, took place here yesterday.
The number of Polish Jews who participated and the amount of enthusiasm displayed at the progress in Palestine during the last seven years, made the demonstration an event which is unparalleled in the history of Polish Jewry since the resurrection of the Polish Republic. Representatives of the various Zionist organizations, Sejm members, senators, Chalutzim, boy scouts, students of the Peoples’ University, professional men, and representatives of the philanthropic societies marched in the streets from Muranow Square to Grzybow Square, accompanied by bands and carrying the Polish national flag and the blue and white flag.
Traffic was suspended. The procession lasted from noon until late in the evening. Tens of thousands participated. Perfect order was maintained by the police.
