The portrait of the late Justice Louis D. Brandeis was presented today by Hadassah to the U.S. Supreme Court at special ceremonies attended by many Senators, Congressmen and Supreme Court justices.
The portrait, painted by Eben Comins, was presented by Mrs. Moses P. Epstein, Hadassah president, as a tribute to Justice Brandeis for his work in behalf of Palestine and the Hadassah organization. Susan Brandeis, daughter of the justice, unveiled the portrait which will hang in the lawyers lounge room in the Supreme Court building. Rabbi Stephen Wise and Thurman Arnold spoke briefly on “Brandeis, the man and jurist.”
