A Jewish newspaper in Portuguese has been projected here by a group headed by Frankenthal, Abovsky and Gaz.
The newspaper is expected to link the local Jewish community with the outside world and to unite the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim on all movements which concern world Jewry, and in particular, the German Jews. The publication group are known for their knowledge of Portuguese, and are leaders among the Jewish students in various faculties in Brazil.
The first issue is planned to appear towards the end of August. Prominent Brazilian journalists and intellectuals will be among the contributors.
