All broadcasts over the government’s radio station, Kol Israel, as well as cable and international telephone communications, were interrupted this morning for one hour, when Post Office technicians handling these facilities went on strike.
The labor dispute concerned a demand for higher wages. By noon, however, all the technicians were back at work and the crowded communications lines were functioning normally again.
