Poznan Bans Kosher Meat Imports

After having banned kosher slaughtering, the city of Poznan today prohibited the importing of kosher meat “for sanitary reasons.”

Under the edict issued by the President of the city, animals must be stunned before slaughtering. Stunning violates the Jewish ritual code.
