The Pragerpresse, semi-official Czechoslovakian government newspaper, today expressed indignation that the German Nazi paper Fridricus should be freely circulated at Marienbad, leading resort of Czechoslovakia.
Fridricus, which is emulating Der Stuermer of Nuremberg, has been publishing articles on “Jewish Murderers.”
Demanding a ban on anti-Semite periodicals in Czechoslovakia, the paper declared, “It is incomprehensible that the sale of this Nazi paper is allowed in the very resort where not Jews but cowardly murdering knaves, assassinated the savant and poet, Professor Theodor Lessing.”
Professor Lessing; German Jewish refugee scholar and staunch opponent of German militarism, was assassinated by Nazi adherents. The assassination was widely hailed in Germany.
