Prague Mayor Pavel Bem confirmed the rumors that anti-terrorist measures taken there starting Sept. 23 were a reaction to a specific threat to Jewish sites. The Czech capital went on alert at the start of the High Holidays with a greatly bolstered police presence, but the government refused to specify the nature of the threat.
