Another attempt was made today in the House of Commons to upset the concession obtained by Moshe Novomeyski to work the Dead Sea mineral deposits, when Colonel Todd, Conservative member of Parliament, referred to Turkish pre-war concessions, advancing the claim that they were still valid.

Secretary of State for Colonies Sir Phllip Cunliffe-Lister said in reply that an action on this matter was pending in the English courts and that it was therefore improper to make a statement while the matter was ‘sub judice.”

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today that Novomeyski is anxious to speed up the court action and is confident that he can remove the new obstacles placed in his way.

Novomeyski is managing director of Palestine Potash, Ltd., the company organized to work the Dead Sea mineral deposits.
