Complete disavowal of anti-Semitism was made yesterday by Premier Julius Goemboes, former anti-Semitic leader, in an address before Parliament yesterday.
“I revise my conception of the Jewish question,” Premier Goemboes declared. “I recognize as a Hungarian brother every Jew who shares in Hungary’s common fate and I am convinced that those who cannot and wish not to share will be rejected by the Jews themselves. I am generally for religious peace.”
The Premier’s declaration was in response to interruptions by Socialist deputies who demanded to know his attitude with regard to the Jews and numerus clausus.
