Relief from the numerus clausus limiting the number of Jewish students in the Hungarian universities and colleges was seen today in the statement of Premier Bethlen at the government party conference.
The government will introduce into parliament a modification of the numerus clausus law which will practically abolish it, Bethlen stated. “I promised the League of Nations to modify the numerus clausus. Now I am taking steps to fulfill the promise” he declared.
