A spokesman for the French Embassy here disclosed today that French President Georges Pompidou will meet with representatives of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations when he arrives in New York on March 2. The spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency “as far as I know a request was made to meet with M. Pompidou and the President agreed.” There was no indication of the nature of the scheduled discussion between M. Pompidou and the Jewish representatives. The French President is scheduled to arrive in New York at 12 noon at the United Nations headquarters for a luncheon given in his honor by UN Secretary General U Thant. M. Pompidou will meet tomorrow with a Jewish delegation in San Francisco.
