President Bush defended his Middle East policy and called on Israeli and Palestinian leaders to show a desire to end the violence. “The United States is doing everything in our power to convince the parties,” Bush said during a round of golf while on vacation in Texas. “But I want to remind people that there must be the will, the people in the area must make the conscious decision to stop the terrorism.”
