President Clinton said during an Oval Office photo-op with Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat on Thursday that Israel and the Palestinians will have to make compromises and that “no one can get everything” in a final peace deal. Arafat said there will continue to be difficulties in the talks, but added that “there is also determination that we will have to reach a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East, not only on the Palestinian track, but also on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks as well.”
